Find your situation
I use a screen reader
What works
Images have descriptions, form fields have labels, and errors and search results are read aloud. Headings follow a logical order, and each page starts with a skip link. On our therapist directory, Chinese is read in Chinese.
What might get in the way
The Client Portal (SimplePractice) and YouTube are other companies' pages. The map on each office page is a picture; the written directions are beside it.
What to do
If a page or form doesn't read well, call, text or email us, and we'll go through it together by phone.
I use a keyboard or a switch, not a mouse
What works
Every link, button and form can be reached with the Tab key, and a clear outline shows where you are. Pop-ups close with Escape and return you to where you were.
What might get in the way
Pages that belong to other companies, such as the Client Portal, follow their own rules.
What to do
Tell us where you got stuck, and we'll find another way.
I zoom in or need larger text
What works
Pages fit a phone screen and zoom up to 400% without sideways scrolling. Text stands out clearly from its background.
What might get in the way
At very high zoom, YouTube's own player controls can be small.
What to do
Use your browser's zoom (Ctrl or Cmd and +). If anything overlaps or is cut off, tell us which page.
I'm sensitive to motion
What works
The video on our home page and the changing photos on Our Story have pause buttons. Nothing flashes, and we follow your device's reduce-motion setting.
What might get in the way
Videos on YouTube play only when you press play.
What to do
Turn on "Reduce motion" in your device's settings, and our site will keep still.
I prefer plain, simple language
What works
We write in short sentences, explain terms when we use them, and keep each page to one topic. The FAQ answers the common questions in plain words.
What might get in the way
The Good Faith Estimate notice is in the government's own words, which we can't change.
What to do
Ask us to explain anything by phone, in English or Chinese.
I'm deaf or hard of hearing
What works
You can text us instead of calling, or email. Everything on our site is in writing, and videos have captions.
What might get in the way
Captions on YouTube are automatic and can include mistakes.
What to do
Text (650) 434-2563 or email team@mindbodygarden.com. Our contact form asks how you'd like to be contacted, so we'll reply the way you prefer.
I'm coming to an office
What works
Each office page explains how to get there, where to park and which floor we're on. San Francisco (fourth floor) and New York (ninth floor) have elevators, and San Diego is on the first floor.
What might get in the way
Los Altos is on the second floor. For Sacramento, ask us before your visit.
What to do
Tell us when you book, and we'll talk it through with you. Most of our clinicians also see clients by video.
Our standard
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. In November 2026, we checked every kind of page on our site with automated tests and by hand, fixed what we found, and we check new pages the same way before they go live.
We don't use accessibility "overlay" widgets. They often get in the way of the tools people already use, so we make changes in the site itself instead.
Tell us about a problem
It helps to tell us the page, what you were trying to do, and the device or tools you use. We'll reply within one business day, in English or Chinese, and let you know what we'll do.
Call or text (650) 434-2563, email team@mindbodygarden.com, or dial 711 for a relay service.
