Common Concerns · Stress & Burnout
Therapy for stress and burnout, so rest can feel like rest again.
When the to-do list follows you home, weekends disappear into recovery, and even small tasks feel like too much, you may be running on empty. Stress and burnout are signals, not failures, and they deserve care before they turn into something heavier.
Our clinicians help you understand what's draining you, set boundaries that hold, and rebuild energy for what matters, in English, Mandarin, Cantonese and more, online or in person.
Signs it might be time to talk to someone
Stress builds quietly. You might notice some of these:
-
In your mind
- A to-do list that never stops running
- Feeling overwhelmed by small things
- Feeling cynical or detached from work
- Trouble switching off
-
In your body
- Tiredness that sleep doesn't fix
- Headaches, tight shoulders or stomach trouble
- Getting sick more often
- Restless or broken sleep
-
In your day
- Working longer but getting less done
- Snapping at people you care about
- No time or energy for what you enjoy
- Dreading Monday by Sunday afternoon
Stress is part of life, but when rest no longer helps you recover, it may have become burnout. Reaching out early makes it easier to change course.

What's the difference between stress, burnout and anxiety?
Stress is a response to pressure, and it usually eases when the pressure does. Burnout comes from stress that has gone on too long, leaving you exhausted and detached. Anxiety is worry that continues even when there's no clear pressure. They often overlap, and therapy can help with all three.
Can therapy help if I can't change my job?
Yes. Therapy can't rewrite your workload, but it can change how you manage it: setting limits, recovering more fully, and deciding what's worth your energy. Sometimes it also brings clarity about bigger changes.
Is it normal to feel this tired?
Long-term stress takes a real toll on the body, so deep tiredness is common. If exhaustion doesn't lift with rest, it's worth talking to a clinician, and to your doctor to rule out other causes.
Can I have therapy online?
Yes. Online sessions can fit around a busy schedule. Our clinicians are licensed across 15 states, and you'll need to be in a state where your clinician is licensed at the time of each session.
Can I have sessions in Mandarin or Cantonese?
Yes. Many of our clinicians speak Mandarin, and some speak Cantonese, Korean or Spanish. On Our Team you can filter clinicians by language.
Will my insurance cover therapy for stress?
Often, yes. We work with Lyra Health, Spring Health and Modern Health employee benefits, and with Kaiser when you have an external referral. Some of our clinicians also take plans such as Aetna and Blue Cross through Headway. With any other plan, we send you a superbill each month to claim out-of-network benefits, which typically repay 50 to 80 percent, and FSA and HSA cards are accepted.
