You don't have to have it all figured out.
Adult life asks a lot of us. Careers, relationships, children, aging parents, and sometimes a new country and a new language, often all at once. Somewhere along the way it's easy to stop making room for yourself. Our therapy for adults gives you that room again: a calm, private hour that's just for you, with someone who listens closely and brings real expertise.
You don't need a diagnosis, and you don't need to be in crisis. Many people come to us simply because something feels harder than it used to, or because they'd like to understand themselves better.

Questions adults often ask
Something else on your mind? Our FAQ covers much more, and our intake team is always happy to talk it through.
Do I need therapy, psychiatry, or both?
Therapy helps you understand what's going on and build new ways of coping; psychiatry looks at whether medication could help. Many adults start with therapy and add a psychiatric evaluation if symptoms such as depression, anxiety or ADHD are getting in the way of daily life. If you're not sure, our intake team can help you decide on a free 15-minute call.
Can I have therapy online?
Yes. Most of our clinicians offer secure video sessions, and together they're licensed in 15 states. You'll need to be in a state where your clinician is licensed at the time of each session.
Can I have therapy in Mandarin or Cantonese?
Yes. Many of our clinicians speak Mandarin, and some speak Cantonese, Korean or Spanish. On Our Team you can filter by language to see who's available.
Will my insurance cover therapy?
Often, yes. We work with Lyra Health, Spring Health and Modern Health employee benefits, and with Kaiser when you have an external referral. Some of our clinicians also take plans such as Aetna and Blue Cross through Headway. With any other plan, we send you a superbill each month to claim out-of-network benefits, which typically repay 50 to 80 percent, and FSA and HSA cards are accepted.
How long does therapy take?
It depends on what you'd like to work on. Sessions are usually 50 minutes and weekly at first. Some people come for a few months for one concern, and others stay longer. You and your clinician review progress together and decide when you're ready to stop.
Can I be tested for ADHD as an adult?
Yes. Our adult ADHD assessment looks closely at your history, attention and daily life, and ends with a written report and clear recommendations. If ADHD is confirmed, we can support you with therapy and, when it helps, medication.
Is what I share kept private?
Yes. What you say in sessions stays between you and your clinician, with a few legal exceptions related to safety that your clinician will explain at the start. If you use insurance, we share only what's needed to bill it, never the details of your sessions.
