About
Hi there! I’m Andrea, a licensed marriage and family therapist. I see clients in California by video.
For the past nine years, I’ve worked with diverse communities around the Bay Area and throughout California, helping people navigate life’s stressors and the emotional complexities of being human in an increasingly lonely and uncertain world.
I’m a multicultural, multilingual therapist, and I specialize in working with Asian and Latinx adult children of immigrants. As a first-generation Southeast Asian immigrant raised in the Bay Area, I understand immigrant family dynamics deeply. Together we can explore how growing up between multiple, seemingly contrasting cultures shapes how you see yourself and the world, and how your values, traditions, and identities affect your self-esteem, attachment style, and communication. I’m fluent in Tagalog and Spanish and can weave them into our work, though I can’t offer therapy entirely in Tagalog or Spanish.
How I work
My approach is collaborative, integrative, attachment-based, strengths-focused, and sex-positive. I often use parts-based work to help you build a more compassionate relationship between your adult self, your inner child, and your inner teenager, while becoming more attuned to and comfortable in your own body. I tailor everything to your needs, goals, and pace.
