About
You may be carrying pain that is hard to explain, even to yourself. Maybe you’ve learned to cope, stay composed, or move through life on your own, but something inside still feels unresolved, overwhelmed, or disconnected.
I’m Ie Run, a licensed professional clinical counselor and art therapist. I see clients in Korean or English, by video in California and in person at our office in Los Altos, and I offer private pay and sliding scale options.
My approach is shaped by my Korean cultural background and my own experience as an immigrant and international student. I bring sensitivity to the complexity of identity, belonging, family expectations, cultural transitions, and the many ways people learn to adapt in order to survive.
How I work
I offer a grounded, compassionate space, especially for people who are ready to move beyond coping alone and begin a deeper process of healing, self-understanding, and change. As an art therapist, I combine creative exploration with trauma-informed, culturally responsive care. Art can offer another way into parts of your experience that are hard to reach, organize, or put into words. You don’t need to be “good at art” to benefit. It isn’t about making something perfect; it’s about making space for what needs to be seen, felt, and understood.
