About
Most people who find their way to me have been tired for a long time. Some can't sleep; some sleep and wake up exhausted anyway. Many are carrying a quieter kind of fatigue: the work of living between two languages, two sets of expectations, two ideas of what a good life looks like.
I work with adults, teenagers, and families, in English and Mandarin. Whatever brings you in, the first few sessions are about understanding what is actually going on before deciding what to do about it.
How I work
My approach is grounded in cognitive behavioral therapy, and for sleep specifically in CBT-I, the first-line treatment for chronic insomnia. It is structured and practical, and it leaves room for the parts of a story that don't fit a worksheet.
Cognitive behavioral therapy for insomnia (CBT-I)
Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and acceptance-based approaches
Family and parent sessions when a child or teen is involved
