About

Hi, I’m Michelle. The first step in healing is finding a safe place to seek support, and I’m so glad you’ve found your way here. I see clients in California by video.

I’m here to support you on your journey toward balance by connecting your body, mind, heart, and spirit. I completed my master’s degree in social work at the University of Utah more than a decade ago. Then, being an avid learner, I went back to school and earned my doctorate in psychology from Meridian University in Petaluma, California.

Throughout my career I’ve worked with many people living with substance use concerns and dual diagnoses. I’ve worked in forensic settings in both California and Utah, and I’ve provided care in hospitals, prisons, jails, and intensive outpatient groups, alongside my private practice. I also have significant experience writing court-ordered assessments.

How I work

My approach is strength-based and tailored to you. I focus on being person-centered and on building collaboration and trust with each client. In therapy, you have the chance to understand more deeply who you are, what you want for yourself, and what you want from your relationships.

  • Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)

  • Mindfulness

  • Trauma-focused approaches

I also help clients understand themselves through reflexive awareness and self-reflection, drawing on transformative learning.
